Hellmann presented itself with its own booth in the Expo Center of the Azerbaijani capital. A total of seven colleagues from Rail Product Europe and Hellmann Azerbaijan among others, were on-site to present Hellmann's product portfolio. The main topic that was discussed was the introduction of a new Goods train route from China to Europe via Baku and the Caspian Sea.

The route for the block train starts in the Chinese city of Chongqing. The train with a length of about 800 meters, carries 50 containers (40 feet). These are not only destined for transit to Europe, but also the local market in Azerbaijan.

From Chongqing, the train travels to the border of Kazakhstan. There, Kazakhstan Railways takes the containers to the port of Aktau, where they are loaded onto a feeder vessel and taken to the port of Baku. From there, the goods can be transported to the EU via Tbilisi or Poti, Georgia. Given the current geopolitical situation, the new route provides a reasonable alternative as it excludes the traffic of goods via Russia and Belarus.

The trade fair was a great success and presented the perfect opportunity to network and interact with CEOs, logistics managers, and decision-makers from the Caspian Sea region.
