In 2020, trade volume between Germany and Poland amounted to an impressive 122,9 bil. Euros, making Poland one of the top 5 trade partners for Germany. Hellmann has consistently met increasing demand for import and export in both Poland and Germany, and continuously expanded the networks on both sides of the border, while simultaneously strengthening bilateral cooperation between the teams. 

25 years ago, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics opened the first Polish branch in Nowy Tomyśl, close to the German-Polish border. Since then, Hellmann Poland now has its own general cargo network with a total of 16 locations. With this infrastructure, Hellmann is close to its customers in Poland and offers a reliable, nationwide delivery service for imports from Germany. 

The decision to open a branch in Nowy Tomyśl was mainly due to its stand-out geographical location. It is conveniently situated between Berlin and Warsaw, not far from the German-Polish border, and provides the best conditions for in-land forwarding. To this day, Nowy Tomyśl is one of the most important hubs in the Hellmann Network for national and international transport, from general cargo to full load. 

As well as investing in the number of branches in Poland, Hellmann is also investing in the expansion of infrastructure, by constantly expanding warehouse space at its locations:

In May 2022 the warehouse in Strykow (near Lodz) was expanded, doubling the handling capacity at the strategically favorable location, next to the A1 and A2 highway interchange. The branch in Czeladz was also relocated and extended, now with a total of 28 loading bays. In the next coming months, two further locations are planned to open. Service and quality is therefore guaranteed, even with constant rising shipping volumes. 

We also attach great importance to the further expansion of our close line network with daily scheduled round-trips, to enable fast connections between economic centers with as least transshipment as possible.  Hellmann is thereby well set up on both sides nationwide services and provides time-, cost- and quality-optimized production.

Customers can of course also opt for end-to-end Track & Trace for their deliveries. In addition to this, our Hellmann Premium Service is also available for especially urgent or time-sensitive shipments.
