Hellmann Mexico is well positioned for Mexico’s increasing time and temperature sensitive healthcare logistics demands

News

Mexico is the second largest healthcare market in Latin America and the eighth in the world for production. It also has nearly half of the top CROs (Clinical Trial Organizations) operating significant clinical trials including Covid-19 vaccine candidates in Mexico and the region.

“Since early this year, we’ve taken major steps to prepare Hellmann Mexico to support Mexico’s increasing time and temperature sensitive healthcare logistics demands,” Piotr Zaleski, CEO & President Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Latin America says. “Besides all other necessary technical knowledge for our team members, it is about enhancing our infrastructure, quality systems, and digital solutions.”

Recently a world’s leading European animal healthcare company operating in more than 100 countries including Mexico has started working with Hellmann.  With the increasing demand for animal health products and medicines in the region, this manufacturer needed a logistics partner who has a variety of solutions with greater flexibility and agility during supply chain disruptions. “We are taking on one customer at a time with greater focus on quality and customer experience,” says Laurens Schoningh, Chief Commercial Officer Hellmann Worldwide Logistics Latin America.

With GDP (Good Distribution Practice) compliant vendor management, Hellmann’s QHSE head of the region qualifies carriers and handlers to be able to confidently transport all temperature control requirements and growing medical device commodities. Often such solutions are linked with Hellmann’s real time visibility platform such as Hellmann Smart Visibility, its neutral 4PL control tower, and various temperature controlled packaging solutions.

Aldo Aguilar, Head of Healthcare Vertical Hellmann Mexico, says, “Many executives of medical device companies tell us the double-digit growth but its subsequent challenges especially with Covid-19 related capacity constraints, now and later when the vaccines become available.” Often these medical device companies export to other Latin American countries, USA, and Europe where Hellmann Healthcare Logistics Network is well established as well. “Supported by hundreds of Hellmann Healthcare Logistics Specialists in overseas, Hellmann Mexico’s investment and commitment to Mexican healthcare industry will continue to support its ongoing export and import growths and preparation for Covid-19 vaccine logistics,” says Zaleski.
