Hellmann sweetens networking event

It was CIFFA’s (Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association) first live event since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. After the reception, the 100 guests from the logistics sector enjoyed a three-course dinner. Hellmann was thereby on everyone's lips as the dessert was sponsored by Hellmann – adding a sweet touch to a successful evening.

‍Following the dinner, four leaders in supply chain participated in a panel discussion:

  • Dan Bresolin, Vice President, Intermodal  Sales and Marketing, CN,
  • Gord Johnston, Senior Vice-President, Sales, Cargojet,
  • Grace Liang, President, OOCL (Canada) Inc.,
  • and Anders Fisker, President & CEO, FCL Fisker Customs and Logistics who stepped in at the last minute for Tracy McLean, CAIB, Senior Vice President, Global Logistics Insurance, NFP.

‍In attendance at the networking event was Rachael van Harmelen, Director of Business Development, Fashion & Retail at Hellmann. She is also the Chair of the Young Freight Forwarder Committee that organized the event and had the honor to introduce the speakers.

The purpose of the event was to encourage the development and growth of young talents and future leaders in the freight forwarder industry.

“The event was a total success – bringing young and experienced professionals from the industry together to meet & mingle and engage in interesting conversations.We are here to encourage young people to pursue a career in this exciting world of logistics”, says Rachael van Harmelen.
