Hi Timo, can you tell us about your background and what motivated you to join Hellmann Worldwide Logistics as Global Airfreight Director for Courier Express Parcel (CEP)?

Timo Schamber: I have over 15 years of experience in the eCommerce industry, with a particular focus on general management, sales and business development. Before joining Hellmann, I was Managing Director at heyworld GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lufthansa Cargo AG, where I built the company from the ground up. The opportunity to take on a global leadership role at Hellmann and drive the CEP and eCommerce business worldwide was very appealing to me. Hellmann offers a dynamic working environment and the chance to develop and implement innovative solutions such as HEX.

Could you please give us a brief overview of HEX and what sets it apart from other express logistics solutions on the market?

Timo Schamber: HEX stands for Hellmann Express and is a new express logistics solution developed in close partnership with UPS. The special thing about HEX is that it enables our customers to benefit from UPS's global contracts and high quality, while at the same time receiving a direct contact person and only one monthly invoice from Hellmann. 

What are the main benefits customers can expect when using HEX for their express shipping needs?

Timo Schamber: Customers using HEX can benefit from several advantages. First, there are significant cost savings through our global contracts with UPS. Secondly, HEX offers reliable delivery and easy tracking for maximum security. In addition, customers have access to a variety of delivery options, giving them more flexibility. Our user-friendly software makes booking and managing shipments much faster and more efficient. Finally, the direct connection to UPS customer service ensures a quick and competent solution to all inquiries.

What are the future plans for HEX? Are there any upcoming functions or enhancements that customers can look forward to?

Timo Schamber: This summer we started the roll-out of HEX for our German customers, but we have big plans for the future of HEX and want to go global at best. One of our priorities is to expand the carrier network so that we can offer our customers even more options. We are also working on further technological improvements to further increase the user-friendliness of our software and improve automation. This includes enhanced tracking options, better analytics tools and even faster processing of bookings and invoices. Our vision is to establish HEX as the leading solution in the express logistics sector and to always offer our customers the best possible service.
