Successful kick-off for Hellmann’s trade show year

After Fruit Logistica had to be postponed, the leading trade fair for the global fruit trade was able to take place last week without any corona restrictions. Following the event’s motto "Meet onsite again", 2,000 exhibitors met more than 40,000 buyers and trade visitors from all over the world at Berlin’s International Congress Centre (ICC) to exchange information on innovations, products and services along the entire supply-chain.

Even though exhibitor and visitor numbers have not yet returned to pre-pandemic levels, organizers and participants were very satisfied with the results. The mood among those present was very relaxed and positive. Without the need for masks and other hygiene measures, they were finally able to exchange ideas with trade visitors, customers and colleagues face-to-face again.

"It felt like the return to normality. We all enjoyed the great atmosphere," says Jan Kleine-Lasthues, COO Airfreight Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.

Hellmann was present with their own booth, where the Airfreight Logistics experts were available for talks and presented transport solutions for perishable goods, fresh produce and beverages.

The Hellmann Airfreight Logistics team also took the opportunity for a face-to-face meeting in Berlin. Together with colleagues from all over the world, they celebrated last year's airfreight results and discussed strategies for the future.

On day 2 of the trade show, the Hellmann client event “Peruvian Night” took place at the popular Berlin restaurant Nauta. With tapas, cocktails and Latin music, the party went on until late at night in an exuberant atmosphere.

At the same time, LogiPharma, the world's leading pharmaceutical supply chain event, was held in Nice, France. Our colleagues from the Healthcare department participated for the first time. At the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre, they had the opportunity to exchange and network with Europe's leaders in supply chain, operations, logistics, distribution and digital transformation.

Andreas Lohmeier, Global Vice President - Hellmann Healthcare Logistics summarizes the event:

"LogiPharma 2022 has been a fantastic opportunity for our Hellmann Healthcare team and the pharmaceutical supply chain community in general to come together. Such events enable us to connect with our customers, exchange ideas and thoughts with peers, vendors and industry stakeholders and most importantly, learn about the latest trends within the industry. True collaboration and real conversations can only strengthen our healthcare solutions."

Lohmeier is certain that Hellmann will participate at LogiPharma on an annual basis from now on.

The next big event is coming up at the end of April. Our US colleagues are already looking forward to the Seatrade Cruise Global in Miami, Florida. From April 25 to 28, Hellmann Cruise Logistics will be among the 500 exhibitors at the international conference for the cruise industry.
