Hellmann gives back

Family

Habitat for Humanity

In June, the regional leaders of the Americas partnered with Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization that helps people around the world to build or improve a place they can call home. To give back to the local community, the Hellmann Americas management team helped build a home in Miami for a family in need.

Reforestation Project in Costa Rica

In July, our F.A.M.I.L.Y in Costa Rica ran a Live Sustainability Project for 2022. The team went to Cerrillal of Alajuela to start the reforestation project of planting 300 native trees in the area.

Kentucky Flooding Fundraiser

In July, the state of Kentucky experienced one of the most devastating and deadly floods in history with 37 dead, hundreds missing, and thousands left homeless. Marsha Barney, strategic account manager for Hellmann North America, organized a fundraiser, with the support of U.S. management, to purchase and deliver necessary supplies to the families in need.
With the help from our Hellmann F.A.M.I.L.Y several large items needed for the cleanup were purchased and delivered to the victims.

“While I delivered the supplies, I was able to witness firsthand some of the unfortunate scenes from the flooding that have not yet been touched. It has been months, and they still have not located 2 people they think perished in the floods. There is still so much debris all over. Homes with windows busted out from flood water and families having to climb to their rooves. Cars sitting in yards no longer drivable. The devastation is just so unreal that the pictures we see don’t even begin to tell the story of what these people are still experiencing. Many will remain completely out of their homes for months to come. Our donations truly made a difference to many families!” says Marsha Barney, Strategic Account Manager at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics North America.

UNICEF – Water for Life Fundraiser Gala

UNICEF Canada held a Water for Life Fundraiser Gala in November to raise funds for cleaner water for children in Uganda. The event supports water, sanitation, and Hygiene Infrastructure for children around the world. Hellmann contributed to this fundraiser by donating an Apple Watch to be raffled and, as a result, the proceeds from this donation will be utilized towards cleaner water for children across the globe.

Thank you to everyone that donated and participated in the the above activities!
