Hellmann Time Critical chartered Boeing 777F to distribute crucial medical supplies from China to Hungary.

Face masks, gloves and protective suits for medical personnel are urgently needed in the fight against the Coronavirus all over the world – Hungary is no exception. However, the production of medical goods is largely carried out in China which means in order to ensure local supply, extraordinary measures are currently required such as chartering cargo machines for short-term supply.

Important contribution to protecting hospital staff and thus maintaining patient care in Hungary

Hellmann Time Critical has carried out such charter transportation for a local company that ensures the supply of hospitals and medical personnel in Hungary. Therefore, a freighter from our airfreight carrier Emirates SkyCargo was chartered. The B777F was loaded with 10 million face masks and around 200,000 pairs of surgical gloves – a phenomenal quantity. In order to boost production in Hungary, important equipment for the installation of an own production line was also on the cargo manifest. Emirates flew a total of 5,106 boxes for Hellmann, with a loading weight of 54,037 kg.

The plane from Guangzhou in China reached the Hungarian capital on schedule and without complications on April 1. Subsequently, at Budapest Airport the Hellmann Time Critical team around Denes Szigeti ensured smooth import handling and customs clearance. With charter transports such as this, Hellmann is making an important contribution to protecting hospital staff and thus maintaining patient care in Hungary.
